Insistrum's second curatorial commission is complete and before jumping right onto the next one, The State In Between Loss And Discovery, in Reading, UK, we are here to share our experience with you.
Chroma&Soma took place at the colorful contemporary art space of Peru Athens, between March 8 and 18. This exhibition celebrated female nature and spirit, thus its opening, which took place on International Women's Day. Presenting two emerging artists, Dimitra Bouritsa and Danai Smoustopoulou, the exhibition successfully depicted both the divine and mythological as well as the simple and everyday existence of womanhood.
The opening of Chroma&Soma was a moving experience since the venue was almost packed with friends, family, and business partners, but most importantly from random art lovers and passersby. The topic itself ignited much conversation among the visitors, who enjoyed the artworks accompanied by draft beer and vivid colors.
About Chroma&Soma:
This exhibition invites viewers on a journey through the myriad stories that celebrate the essence of femininity, told through surreal symbolism and vivid imagery.
The exhibition captures the multifaceted nature of women, presenting a visual feast that explores themes of beauty, resilience, and the complexities of existence. The artworks unfold as a visual dialogue, with each piece contributing to a rich mosaic of narratives that are diverse, yet seamlessly connected.
