We invite artists of all mediums to participate in an immersive experience exploring the intersection of creativity and environmental consciousness. This exhibition highlights how reuse and repurposing can inspire a more sustainable world through art.

Theme:

​

Exploring sustainability, reuse, and the transformation of waste into art.
Artists are encouraged to submit works that embody sustainability, either through the materials they use or the message they convey. Our goal is to foster a dialogue on how art can inspire action and encourage environmental stewardship.

 

What We’d Love to See:

​

We invite artists to draw inspiration from the vibrant and eclectic atmosphere we envision for the exhibition space. Based on the floor plan, here’s a glimpse of the style and energy we’re hoping to create:

​

• Colour, Texture & Variety: We’re looking for a lively mix of colours, textures, and natural elements that bring energy and diversity to the space.

• Natural, Earthy Vibe: Works inspired by organic forms, earthy tones, and raw materials that reflect a connection to nature are especially encouraged.

• Interactive & Bold Elements: Sculptures, installations, and other tactile works are encouraged to add depth and engagement.

• Playful, Funky Flair: Artworks with a playful or unconventional style help bring a dynamic, contemporary edge to the exhibition.

• Open to All Mediums: We accept installation, sculpture, canvas, and mixed media  (please note: regrettably, we are unable to accept video art submissions for this exhibition)

 

Eligibility:

​

• Open to All Mediums: We welcome sculpture, painting, installation, digital art, mixed media, and more. 

• Artists of All Backgrounds: Artists from diverse backgrounds are encouraged to apply as long as their work aligns with our sustainability theme.

Eligibility Criteria:

​

• Location & Transportation: Artists are responsible for transporting their artworks to and from the exhibition site in Athens.

• Availability: Artists must be available for installation, the opening reception,during the exhibition, and de-installation.

• Artwork Specifications: Dimensions should be suitable for the exhibition space, and there are opportunities for artist-led events. Please note: The space management (TAF)prohibits drilling or using nails on the walls. Hanging must be managed through alternative methods, such as adhesive tape or other non-damaging options.

 

Exhibition Requirements:

• Number of Submissions: Artists may submit up to 4 pieces for consideration. We encourage a variety of works that relate to the theme.

• Submission Fee: No fee to submit work for this exhibition.

 

Selection Criteria:

​

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

​

• Creativity & Innovation: Originality in material use, approach, or environmental themes.

• Relevance to Sustainability: Clear connection to the exhibition's theme.

• Audience Engagement: Potential for interactivity or fostering discussions on sustainability.

 

Key Dates:

• Submission Deadline: Sunday 22 December 2022

  Exhibition Dates: March 13 - March 23, 2025, including two days prior for installation and one day post-closing for de-installation.

• Location: T.A.F./ the art foundation, Normanou 5, Athina 105 55, Greece.
