ΗiVerid Mind | Exploring hybrid realities

Insistrum presents the visual exhibition "HiVerid Mind" from November 24 to December 8 at Booze Cooperativa in Monastiraki.
The HiVerid Mind exhibition seeks to highlight fragments of a hybrid reality through a diversity of artistic expression. Forming a collective of young creatives, we share our efforts to reveal an unfiltered perspective on the concepts of the "everyday" and the "personal." These concepts, therefore, interweave, giving rise to the whole, the collective mind.
It is the point of intersection where the tangible, conscious world meets the intangible, digital, and at this minimal common meeting point resides the collective mind. Through fragments of reality, the viewer can now see through the keyhole, but this time, the door leads outside the four walls we build around us. Existing individually in one's personal cell, the individual tends to ignore the fact that many of these hexagons together form the hive, within which similar beings live and work among themselves. This implies the adoption of a simultaneous sense of loss and discovery, as well as the recognition of how distortions and fragments in our lives and identities contribute to a common collective awareness.
The aforementioned situation culminates in what is called the "hive mind" or, in Greek, the collective mind. Reality encounters distortion through the subjective gaze, and with the collection of multiple such perspectives, the HiVerid Mind exhibition aims to help us fully embrace our hybrid nature and understand that the existence of a stable identity is not necessary. It is entirely acceptable to inhabit the space between categories, as long as we are aware of the state of being.
Ultimately, awareness, presence, and acceptance of our hybrid forms allow a deep exploration of ourselves and our connections with others. We can discover beauty and power in the complexity and diversity of our identities, weaving together a mosaic of experiences and perspectives. By making our distortions and patches of our reality our own, we encourage ourselves to embrace the completeness of the HiVerid Mind.
